Highlights from last week on What Now

We were inventing some crazy devices last Sunday, with special guest Luke Nola from the TV2 show 'Lets Get Inventin'. Serena set the challenge of making some 'kittenventions' for her cat Leo, to get him to travel from Table 1 to Table 2. The first invention was almost successful... A bridge made of popsicle sticks, with cat food squirted across it. Leo seemed to enjoy it! The second invention wasn't so hot... A box that floats by helium balloons! When the box began to drop... very quickly... the whole studio gasped! Thankfully, they caught Leo in time (don't worry folks, he was ok) and he was safely carried over to the other table!

Red had been inventing also, but was a little dismayed to find his disk incineration device was a little too similar to a toaster, and that his UPD's (ultroviolet protection devices) were, in fact, just like sunglasses. But his 'medal table' was a much better invention, now giving support to the five medals won overnight by our Olympians! Go New Zealand!!

More science craziness occured with Wacky Workshop's Mike & Mitch being live in the studio, trying to accelerate their attempts at crossing the Game Zone's Flywire. With the foam gun and a rocket pack helping them out, they were clocked by a speed camera and managed to beat their previous attempts! After they'd had their fun, they both stuck around to chat to What Now Club members.

Tumehe was in Foxton, and despite three days of rain for the Spyrider team, the sun actually managed to come out during the show! Another round of 'Gunge on the Run' was contested, and Tu pulled a great wake-up prank by actually carrying a bed out into a field!
Tune in again this Sunday for more craziness on What Now!
